FYI, the Canon PIXMA MX700 (all-in-one) is now supported by the pixma backend, for both flatbed and ADF scanning.
Thanks to Mike, owner of a PIXMA MX700, who contacted me and provided the USB Snoops with the Windows driver, and then tested the changes added to the pixma backend. Also enabled the 2 models PIXMA MX300 and MX310, as there's strong chance they use the same protocol. Upload to CVS done today, please report any issue. I changed the 3 lines in the "else" clause at about line 440, as you instructed in your last e-mail. I then did the make distclean, make, moved and renamed the new libsane-pixma.so to the usr/lib/sane directory, did a reboot, and xsane was able to scan from the ADF! I then did some logs using scanimage and have included the logs. The first was scanimage -T (the scanimagetest.log). I then did scanimage source="Automatic Document Feeder" with and without paper. These logs are also included. On the adf_no_paper.log, you will see an error at termination. I think this is because I used 1/2 sheet of paper turned sideways. I did this to keep the log from getting too big. I've also included the modified pixma_mp150.c file. So, unless you need any additional tests, I think we have finished the job! There is a thread on the Ubuntu forum about getting the Pixma MX700 running. I think either you or I should add a comment to this thread to let people know the scanner feature is working now. mike
