Hello, Hat any one more information about this scanner:
I cannot use the epkowa Backend which is made for linux my OS is Darwin 10 64 bit (OSX) Different Epson scanners are supported by different SANE backends (epson2, plustek, snapscan) depending on what chip is used in the scanner and what communication protocol it uses. If the scanner is similar to any already supported scanner (w.r.t. chip and communication protocol) an existing backend might be possible to be adapted to support the scanner. If it is very different a completely new backend might be needed. I have no idea what is the case here. If you want more accurate information you can contact the maintainers of the SANE backends that currently support other Epson scanners or the sane-devel mailing list. Is there a SANE backend which could work with the above mentioned scanner or one to be modified in order to work with it ? Best Regards Guil
