Hi Allan,
that seems to work fine! I installed the update 1.0.25-20150825, set
"option duplex-offset 400" in canon_dr.conf and now the backpage of the
duplex scan is rendered as it should.
Thanks very much. I often thought to trade the Dr-C125 for some sane
compatible scanner; even had an old windows notebook running just for
the scanning. So this really helps a lot!
cheers

I committed an updated version of the canon_dr backend to our git repo
yesterday. It should be in either a current snapshot, or a git pull.

Hi Allan,
sorry, my last response was not really exact. I scanned again with
scanimage --batch --source "ADF Duplex" --page-width 210 --page-height=297
-l 0 -t 0 -x 210 -y 297
both 1) without the option duplex-offset and 2) with duplex-offset 400.
You can see the effect on the *first* (=front) page of the duplex scan, but
no effect on the second/backpage (that's why I sent just one scan of the
backpage, it looks exactly the same with and w/o the option).
Ok, one idea, let me try a negative offset ...
option duplex-offset -400
result: no effect ... first page looks like w/o offset, second the same as
always.
cheers,
Christof

Well, since you are using Rolf's ppa, I will just commit the change to
the repo, and you can update from his PPA in a few days. If it does
not work, we will try again.

we are preparing for a sane release next month. it would be good to
verify the fix before then, which I cannot do, since I don't own the

Hmm, looks like we might need to rebuild from source with a small
patch which sets s->duplex_offset_side = SIDE_BACK

Hello,
I installed the latest sane backend from
http://ppa.launchpad.net/rolfbensch/sane-git/ubuntu in Ubuntu
14.04
LTS
It made my Canon DR-C125 run finally. Great, I was hoping for it
for
years!
But: Every backpage from a duplex scan is cut at the bottom.
There is an option in the canon_dr.conf for the DR-C125:
option duplex-offset 400
But I don't notice any effect of this option, whatever number I
try.
Every
backpage remains cut.
Thanks for any hints,
Christof
