Olaf, I had created PR for this
https://github.com/Homebrew/homebrew-core/pull/16722 It can be installed
via:
 `brew reinstall
https://github.com/yurikoles/homebrew-core/blob/sane-backends-1.0.27-3/Formula/sane-backends.rb`

Thomas, please check it.
