BUILD AND TAKE HOME YOUR VERY OWN CRACKLEBOX We're hosting the amazing STEIM from Amsterdam, pioneers of electronic music in performance and this is an extremely rare chance to build and take home one of their historic handheld instruments, the Cracklebox, devised by legendary STEIM founder Michel Waisviez. Daniel Schorno leads this workshop on Friday day time and tickets must be bought in advance to avoid disappointment. STUNNING LIVE PERFORMANCES FROM WORLD-LEADING ARTISTS A first night line up of Stelarc, Jennifer Walshe, Chikashi Miyama (youtube Angry Sparrow), DJ Sniff (Artistic Director of STEIM, Takuro Lippit), Alex Nowitz (STEIM Artist in Residence and virtuosic Wii-mote controlled singer), and Ryan Jordan (extreme noise=noise artist and general open source guru) kicks off the festival proper on Friday night with virtuosic and experimental performances of a brilliant nature.
