Iam deeply thinfg about the meaning of the
3rd verse of the SoundaryaLahari by sriSankaracharya
"Avidyaanaamanthastimira mihira dweepa nagaree
Jadanaam chaitanya sthabaka makaranda sruthi jharee
daridraanam Chinthaamani gunanikaa janmajaladhou
nimagnanaam dhamstraa muraripu varaahasya bhavathi||"
Meaning as I see is
The island town of the Sun godfor the ignorent with
darkness inside, for the dullerd is the nectar flowing
from the bunch of clear consciousness or activity,
for the penniless a garlend of Chinthamani gems and
for those who are immersed in the birth cycle, becomes the
tusktooth of the Muraripu boar.
Iam unable to find the subject-word in this shloka,
neither I dont understand why we should search for this
subject-word in some other sloka,catch something and satisfy
that it is continuation of the previous sloka.
After all my humble openion is that the Acharya
must have some thing in his intention to leave the subject-word
in the sloka. I request all rhe leared members and Upasakas
to enlighten me in this regard.

The answer is already there in the word 'bhavati' ((sA) bhavati). Explicitly you have:
(sA) avidyaanaamanthastimira mihira dweepa nagaree (bhavati)
(sA) jadanaam chaitanya sthabaka makaranda sruthi jharee (bhavati)
(sA) daridraanam Chinthaamani gunanikaa (bhavati)

This shloka is addressed to the devotees!
