I am raising a questtion only on the word dhaaTi.
 
I could not find it in Apte. In MW it appears as dhATii meaning assault
 
Can some one explain?

Vasudha wanted transl of la.sa.na. Though there are scores of sites on Lalitha, 
transl. of la.sa.na is beyond expectation. One Islamic site had published them 
some 6 to 7 yrs back, and now withdrawn. It was at >>

days, the subject of kitab-al-munir itself is disppearing in that site. 
However, one site >> http://www.adishakti.org/ << seems to have preserved those 
very files and they can be seen at this url, after finding by 'lalitha' in that 
site, because the font used is hopelessly small [at least for me.] 
kitab-al-munir has taken pains to present this in an encyclopaedic manner with 
cross reference etc., and if any of us can use that material and publish  
transl. [according to our norms and beleifs,] it would be a beacon light. You

My daughter-in-law and my son are trying to do it, [of course, without my

Priya Mahasay,
                   As I understood the meanings for "Mrinaala mridu dorlatha" 
and "Lalitha" is 
as follows.---
Mrinala = mri-false;  naala=naadi -- ie.,  'sushumna naadi'
" Dor GhoShaa cha Bhujo baahuriti Dhananjayah " --- GhoSha latha--mridu Ghosha 
latha means smooth noise -- heard in the suShumna naadi.(to the sadhaka).
Actually, this SuShumna naadi is no where existing in the physical body. All 
the naadis are the matters of the subtle body only.( SukShma sareera ie., 
dreamy state ).  In between the Ida and Pingala the suShumna is flowing 
upwards, towards brahmarandhra.  Inside the sushumna there is one naadi named 
Vajra naadi. Inside of that there is another naadi named Chitrini.Again inside 
of it, there is another naadi named Sankhini.( This naadi is also called by 
another two names as Brahma naadi and muurdhanya naadi ).
" Chitrinee madhya desecha Brahma naadee mahaa prabhaa
  sarva siddhiprada nityaa saa devee sakala kalaa ||
  vyomaroopa bhagavathi sarva chaitanya ruupinee
  Ekam ruupam param brahma brahmaateetham jagat trayam||"
This naadi is extreemly smooth and always tremulous ( Lalitha ) in nature; and 
a small noise is heard due to its vibrations. When the concentration of the 
saadhaka reaches to that point, the vibrations are intensified and the noice 
becomes louder also.
Mridu = smooth, tender
Doh = "Doh Doshou Doshah",  
Latha= creeper ---  Dorlatha means--Dosha latha; Because of the influence of 
the three                    DoShas,- 'Aanava, Maayeeya and Kaarmika'; or 
because of the first desire to create the universe in the paramathma, 
('Bahusyaam prajaayeyuh' ) the whole of the universe is created and extended 
endlessly like a creeper; passing through all the thirty six Thattwaas upto the 
Mrith thattwa ie., the earth.  
There is another sampradaayic interpretation, saying 'Dyour latha' -- which 
means the creeper in the skys. The whole of the extension of the creation is 
made in the void only. and every thing is middhya.  (Middhya jagadaDhiShthana 
is one of her names ).
  =================       =========     ======== 
The other word -- ' lalitha ' means-- "Vilaase sukumaaraanga vinyaasa roopam 
yasyaa saa"
This is the very delicate, smooth, soft and beautifully moving appearence of 
the kundalini.
" Lalitam thrishu lalithe chepsithe" -- (medini kosah) = The first desire in 
the Paramathma to create the world .
"Lalad = flashing.  
             The minutest subtle form of the self will be in two phases.  One 
is 'visible' and the other is 'invisible'.  The invisible phase is called Siva, 
and the last visible phase is called Sakthi, which is the 'Siva gnaana 
pradaayini'. You can confirm that there is something invisible only with the 
help of alternatingly flahing visible state. That flashing light is the 
Lalitha. (sakthi ).  They are not two different things, but only one thing 
which is once glowing and the same is extinguishing.simultaniously

Lalitha = playing.  " Lalitha lalithair jyothsna praayairakritrima viBhramaih
                             viDhaaya sriShtim lalitaam viDhaathuh "
Lalitha = any natural or artless act of the paramatma. The maha-maaya has 
emerged out of the paramaatma very naturally of its own accord.
" Thwam chandrikaa sasini thigmaruchou ruchisthwam
   thwam chethanaasi puruShey pavaney balam thwam
  Thwam swaaduthaasi saliley Sikhin thwa-uuShmaa
  nissaarameyva niKhilam twadrithey yadi syaath "
Om thad brahmaa, Om thad vaayuh, Om thadaathmaa, Om thath satyam Om thath sarvam
Om thath purornamah| "  
Agni, suurya, Parjanya, vidyud vaayu Indra aakaasaadi panchaBhuutha, Soma, 
Sath, Asath, amritha, chathurveda,naama roopa kriyaa swaroopa ---
every  thing is herself only.
