pATIra-gandhi = sandalwood-smelling
kucha-SaaTii = (payyeda in telugu) cloth covering breasts
kavitva-paripATIm = succession, flow of poems/poetry
khura = hoof
ghuTati = strikes again,
ghoTa = horse (the hoof-striker?) from which the hindi word ghoDa is derived.
ghoTI-khurAt adhika 
dhATI = assault
viiTii = betel plant
udAra = (M-W) a figure in rhetoric (attributing nobleness to an
    inanimate object).
tanutAm = may extend, loosen, (grant)

May the pArvatI with Sandalwood-smelling breast-cloth
bestow/extend a flow of poetry swifter than that of horse-hooves
through the betel-juice oozing forth from her *udAra* generous mouth.

Here is my second half:

paaTiiragandhi kuchashaaTii kavitvaparipaaTiim agaadhipasutaa
ghoTiikhuraadadhikadhaaTiim udaara-mukha-viiTii-rasena tanutaam || 1

paaTiira = Sandalwood paste
gandhaH = smell
Note here:
paaTiira iva gandhaH yasyaa saa paaTiragandhi (the 'i' follows from Pan
5.4.136-137) meaning one who has the smell of sandalwood. It is suggested by
the usage of this term  that the smell is natural to devi and not due to
wearing sandalwood paste.

kuchashaaTii = one who has a garment (saree) covering the breast
agaadhipasutaa = agasya adhipasya sutaa = daughter of the chief of mountains
= daughter of HimavaaN
kavitvaparipaaTiim = Manner of poesy i.e., prosody
ghoTii= mare
khuraat = hoof (i.e., beating of the hooves  or the horse trot)
adhika = more
dhaaTiim = assault
Here incidentally the poet is suggesting the poem is in ashvadhaaTii
v^RittaM
udaara= kind
mukha-viiTii-rasena = the juice of betel (paan) that is flowing from the
mouth tanutaam = may you extend

Oh daughter of Himavaan who has the smell of sanda wood and has (lovely)
upper garment , may you extend your grace like the flow of beteljuice from
your mouth to compose a poem that exceeds the grace of horsetrot i.e., in
ashvadhatii vrittam.

Story goes that Kalidasa was an illiterate who got married to a princess by
fraud. The princess suggested him to lock himself in the temple of Devi when
she was out on her rounds and not to  open the doors until he got her grace.
When Devi saw herself locked out she asked Kalidasa to put out his tongue
and she spat her beteljuice into his mouth. The enlightened kalidasa
instantly composed the well-known shyaamalaa daNDakaM. As DHR suggests the
dashashloki is the alternative to shyaamalaa daNDakaM.

 Namaskar,
     I am not aware about availability of Manyu Suktam in electronic form etc. 
As regards significance of God Manyu, this has been acknoledged in our 
scriptures.The famous Rudram Chant starts with salulations to Manyu of Lord 
Shiva.Both our scriptures and modern psychology and psychoanalysis has given 
impottance to our emotions like Manyu and others.I will suggest  following two 
books whch may perhaps throw light in some measure regarding its significance ;
              1)      RUDRAM by Swami Dayanand Saraswati - comments on first 
Anuvak
                                        published by Sri Gangadhareshwar trust, 
Swami Dayanand
                                        Ashram, Purani Jhadi, Rishikesh-249201
             2) WESTERN   PSYCHO-THERAPY and HINDU SADHANA by Hans Jacobs
                                    published by Ruskin House, George Allen & 
Unwin Ltd. 
                                     Museum Street, London. Please refer to 
Part three, Chapter 4,5&6
 
                                I will be glad to have more details on the

Not so, Raman garu - dasha shloki is what you and Sai are translating 
commencing with first shloka - ceTii bhavannikhila kheTii - etc. Whereas 
shyaamala daNDakam is different and it starts with three shloka-s viz. maaNikya 
viiNaamupalaalayantii, madaalasaam - etc., and the daNDakam proper starts with 
-- jaya janani, sudhaasamudraanta hR^idyanmaNidviipa... etc. Teluigu pedda bala 
siksha used to contain this for every student, and MS Subbalakshmi gave an LP 
on this. Further, if you have seen Telugu cinema Kalidas [ANR starer] some 
decades back - in that cinema ghantasala sang this daNDaka in part when Durga 
Devi blessed Kalidas with biijaakshara-s. 
 
dasha shloki was also sung by elders some decades back and now it is extinct. 
So both are different.
 
To Sai - pl check taatparya again and if possible pl publish whole work of  
verse 1 at one place
