To learn sanskrit, I'd recommend samskrita bharati lessons as they are the very intuitive. Nowadays, in India, the UGC has adopted their style of teaching for spoken sanskrit. Many major univs in India now offer similar 1 month courses. Learning sanskrit online requires discipline on your part as there is no curriculum and no one to force you to do exercises. A while ago, all the samskrita bhArati course material (including lessons and exercises) were put online. They are available at http://sanskrit.gde.to/ when you click on learning tools. This group helps people who have a bit of sanskrit knowledge including vibhaktis, simple sentence construction etc. But novices shouldn't abandon this group because it gives them the motivation to learn sanskrit - rasAsvAdana. - Sai. Even if it does not change and remains written as visarga, would (could) it be pronounced as .s? Girish Sharma -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
