The mantras you mention are of the taittiriiya
yajurveda, the pronunciation of which is according to
the pratishaakhyas and the shikShaas of this
recension.
shrI shrIramaNa sharmA has written a paper about this
which clearly explains your query. you can find it

NamasAra,
Third mantra in ShrIsukta reads as under -
ashvapUrvAM rathamadhyAM hastinAdaprabodhinIm |
shriyaM devImupahvaye shrIrmA devIjuSatAm ||
Could someone explain meaning of 'prabodhinIm' here and how it fits into the
context of the mantra.
PraNAm.

Thanks. But that does not seem to fit with the the whole text -
ashvapUrvAM - horses in her front
rathamadhyAM - riding in a cariot
hastinAda - noise made by elephants (surrouding her chariot)
shrIyaM devIM - goddess of prosperity
upavhaye - I invite ( and shower wealth etc)
juShatAM - be pleased with me.

The gm, or gam sound is the vaidika gamakam. It occurs on some anusvaara-s
while chanting mantra-s. It is written with chandrabindu. naaraayaNagam harim
is naaraayaNam harim; gaNapatigam havaamahe is gaNapatim havaamahe etc
-----------------------------------------------------------
The anvaya for this 3rd manta is like this
hè jaataveda= oh, sacred fire; ashva puurvaam= one which has an army of horses
afore such an army; ratha madhyaam= one which has an army of chariots in its
midst; hasti naada prabodhiniim= hasti= elephants; naada= by sounds, by
trumpeting; pra bodhiniim= one which is known thru, trumpeting which gives a
mental picture about such an invincible army; such goddess who presides over
such an army Jaya / Raaja Lakshmi; deviim= such a goddess with
self-refulgence; shriyam= such a goddess Lakshmi, who is the presiding goddess
of a glorious army; upahvaye= let her come to me thus I appeal; devii= [such
a] self-resplendent, goddess; shrii= Lakshmi; maa= me; juSataam= covet [me.]
Oh, Sacred Fire, I beseech you that raaja lakshmi / jaya lakshmi have her heart
set on me to be on my side. In that let there be cavalry and a fleet of
elephants, betwixt which there shall be any army of chariots. Just by the
thundering trumpeting of those elephants it is to be made know that such and
such person has got such an invincible and glorious army. I beseech to invite
such a self-refulgent goddess and the presiding deity of such a glorious and
fourfold army. I entreat you to kindly make that self-resplendent goddess to
choose me
