- Infrastructure Application Retirement Workstream/New York/
*Tasks/Responsibilities:*
- During the application rationalization several retired applications
were identified (600+). A strategy, plan and roadmap will be produced to
remove these applications and platforms within the scope of ERP Strategy.
- Working with ERP analyst to investigate the current state of the
application – infrastructure in use, application stack, environment stack,
disaster recovery, backups.
- Data analysis, workshops material preparation, project co-ordination.
*Competence*
- Experience of investigating infrastructure supporting an underlying
application stack across all tires-
- Servers (application servers, web servers, databases, physical
servers).
- Jobs and Dependencies (backups, disaster recovery, shared
environments)
- Storage and networks.
- Investigate data collection mindset. Ability to gather data across
various infrastructure teams
- Ability to track and coordinate multiple concurrent activities to
progress decommissioning
*Deliverables*:
- Detailed infrastructure components by applications.
- Roadmap and detailed timelines for retiring the entire application
scope.
- Detailed individual to track activities and pull together workshops
materials for planning sessions.
