Current State: • Prototype Database/Macro Spreadsheet use to manage taxonomy changes • Database to key change to mappings of Career Model • Database for Career Compass • More info to come: Database to track rules related to titles (RAE) • Spreadsheet to track Comp mappings Future State: • Front end- single interface w series of ‘jobs’ for admins (weave together the process above) depending on their roles in the process • Front end – web based for users to enter approved changes (automated emails to validate approval) • Report capability at the push of a button 1.2 Scope Basic requirements of the databse: must be housed and maintained by Microsoft, so cannot be overly complex. Microsoft is in search of a resource who knows Access and SQL well should be able to make minor tweaks and troubleshoot as needed. Additional skills: systems-thinking, not just technical, able to look at process and program elements to make sure the technology will work in the people process.
