Description : Proposals and resumes are requested by Client for a *Senior JavaScript Application Developer* contract position at its *Atlanta, Ga* office building. The initial engagement will be approximately *12 months* in accordance with the following attached documents: *Job Description* The Client Information Technology Geographic Information Systems team is seeking a candidate who is an experienced JavaScript application developer. The candidate should be highly motivated and a self-starter who has demonstrated successful experience architecting, implementing and supporting application solutions in a large corporate, enterprise environment. The candidate should have excellent written and oral communication skills, and be both team-oriented and self-motivated. *Responsibilities will include:* - Work with internal business partners and other IT development groups to define and formalize requirements for new JavaScript applications. - Drive the architecture and design of the code they write. - Build well-tested and maintainable client-side applications using JavaScript, JavaScript frameworks (Dojo, Angular and jQuery), HTML, CSS and RESTful APIs. - Provide oversight and guidance to less experienced JavaScript developers on the team. - Maintain and enhance existing web applications. *Required Experience and Skills:* - 5+ years’ experience hand-coding enterprise-level web applications using JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 (at least 1 year should be current.) - Robust understanding of the Dojo and Angular frameworks, AJAX and JSON, Asynchronous Module Definition (AMD), and integrating RESTful web services. - Knowledge of ASP.NET and IIS. - Solid understanding of programming fundamentals and the Software Development Life Cycle. - Excellent communication skills. *Additional Skills a Plus:* - ArcGIS API for JavaScript. - Esri ArcGIS Server and Desktop. - Mobile application development (Android and/or iOS).
