Need Local to Fort Worth, TX Requires In-Person Interview UNIX/Solaris Administrator (MID-LEVEL) Fort Worth, Texas Length: 12+ Months Telephonic + In person Interview Requirements are as follows: * Must have working knowledge of Solaris 10 - minimum 2 years * Experience with Linux (Red Hat) is required - minimum 2 years * Shell scripting knowledge is required - minimum 2 years * Solaris Packages and RPM maintenance and participate in patch management. * Experience with Solaris container/zone, and LDOM is preferred. * Experience with VMware running Linux environments is preferred. * Need to have knowledge of installing, configuring and maintaining of Sun/Solaris HW. * Working knowledge of Jump/Kick start server along with network installation. * Working knowledge of backup and restore of UNIX servers. * Working knowledge of disk volume manager (Veritas, Solaris etc.) is preferred, ZFS knowledge is a plus. * Knowledge of proxy service, naming services (LDAP, DNS etc.) is needed. * Responsible for troubleshooting servers and OS problems. * Understands boot process and run levels, paging and swapping, inter-process communication, functions of devices and device drivers and file system concepts. * Experience with external storage (SAN/NAS) is preferred from server - configuration and administration prospective. * Any working knowledge of IPMP and power path is a plus. * Knowledge of capacity monitoring and management of UNIX servers. * Any knowledge or experience with Solaris x64 implementation is a big plus. * Ability to work in a team environment and multi-task as necessary.
