including data modeling, implementation and data management for the enterprise data warehouse and advanced data analytics systems.* · *Collaborate with the company’s management teams to define, manage and maintain the Enterprise Data Model and Architecture framework in all its forms, including conceptual and logical forms.* · *Establish a target architecture and roadmap, developing this as business evolves, using capability models to support an information-centric view* · *Drive the overall technical and product strategy for the current and any future states of the data roadmap, helping to prioritize what matters most to the organization* · *Establishes standards and guidelines for the design & development, tuning, deployment and maintenance of information, advanced data analytics, and text mining models and physical data persistence technologies ensuring they align with the data structures and models.* · *Design and develop Information Architecture, information models and flows, data dictionaries, data standards, and data quality standards and processes* · *Design and develop data taxonomies and relationships, and decision trees to provide insight on appropriate techniques and implementation approaches* · *Develop database and warehousing designs across multiple platforms and computing environments using various data technologies (RDBMS, NO SQL, Hadoop etc)* · *Analyzes the business requirements of the user community, help out identifying strategic data requirements for the enterprise and designs conceptual, logical and physical data models relying on the Enterprise Data Model framework.* · *Liaise and advise Solution Architects and business people on matters of enterprise data architecture* · *Work in close cooperation with the delivery group on all related project delivery work, and to ensure designs and development of data models is maximized and correctly implemented through projects (technical sanity check)* · *Engage and work with suppliers and partners in order to define the best possible solution and the most appropriate deployment of their technology and products* · *Ensure that operational and supportability guidelines are factored into the construction of any solution - this will include liaison with the relevant live service and service management teams to ensure that they understand the implications of the data design.* · *Identify and exploit the re-use of any components, patterns or techniques and documenting these for re-use by delivery projects, ensuring that projects do not duplicate functionality or diverge from each other and business and IT strategies* · *Promote rationalization of data sources and repositories leading to reduce TCO* · *Implement Master Data Management (MDM) practices to ensure standardization of data* · *Proactively monitor, evaluate and suggest improvements to the data gathering / acquisition and transformation processes that affect data quality* · *Work with the IT security and risk management team to govern data more effectively, supporting the development of governance processes and structures* · *Promote data security standards especially classification of information assets, taking account of relevant privacy and regulatory requirements* · *Leadership in creating, maintaining and marketing the architectural vision and direction* · *Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with both technical and business audiences including senior managers and stakeholders* · *Ability to translate broader business initiatives into clear and pragmatic team objectives and concrete individual goals, aligning appropriately with other groups for efficient, coordinated action.* · *Ability to draw conclusions and effectively communicate findings with both technical and non-technical team members, providing active leadership skills across project teams and the business community.* · *Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to perform/drive in-depth analysis of systems, data flows processes, and architectural trade-offs* · *Outstanding verbal, written and visual presentation skills.* · *Proven strong negotiating and consensus building abilities.* · *All-round experience of a range of technology solutions and a good understanding of the full-lifecycle of enterprise delivery projects* · *Previous experience working within an Enterprise Architecture function is preferred* · *Some background in Utility or equivalent environment* *Required Experience* · *Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization (Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering);
