*Position :PERFORMANCE ENGINEER - MAINFRAMES* *Location: North Haven, CT* *Length 6 months* *Rate: $45/hr* Performance Engineer required with Mainframes is critical. *Experience with IMS systems, SAS, Mainview and APA experience is required* Performance Engineer required with Multiple platform experience, including Mainframes. Performance engineering tasks include planning, testing, results analysis and recommendations. IMS, SAS, Mainview and APA experience is required. The higher rate should justified by the specific level of experience and tool experience needed. Most performance engineers do not have mainframe experience and those that do typically have 20+ years of experience. The tools listed are those that reside on the mainframe and are difficult to find in the IT industry. Reviews, plans, and evaluates network\data systems. May troubleshoot network\data systems and recommend improvements to network. Provides documentation/project tracking and management reporting. Provides tactical and strategic input on overall network planning and related projects. May require a bachelor's degree in a related area and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. Typically reports to a project leader or manager.
