Consultant (Migration Waves)
*Title:* Application Migration Consultant
*Location:* Tampa, Florida
*Duration*: 3 months (through September 2010)
*Project Type:* Contract
*Project Information:* The Application Migration Consultant is responsible
for the successful migration of Logical and Physical Applications/Servers
from one data center to another for the Migration Bundle to which they have
been assigned. Data validation and collection of any missing data is
required as well as becoming as familiar as possible with the applications
and servers in the assigned migration bundle along with dependencies.
All work to be completed on-site in Tampa Florida.
*Responsibilities: *
• Create and update Migration Waves Kickoff presentations.
• Create and manage Hour by Hour cut-over plan for Migration Waves.
• Maintain Execution of Pre Migration tasks of Migration Waves.
• Create and Manage Migration Wave Tabletop workshop material.
• Create Go/No-Go presentation for Migration Waves, listing all of the
issues and risks for Executive approval.
• Managing Migration Wave cut-over event.
• Send Migration cut-over in progress status to client and EMC team.
• Creating Issue log during each Migration Wave cut-over.
• Creating Lesson Learned Presentation after each Migration Wave
Cut-over
• Assist with the migration risk analysis outlining identified risk,
Assigned Risk Factor and Mitigation plans
• Schedule client facing meetings, including Kickoffs, Wave Tabletops
and walkthroughs.
• Manage 3rd party vendor for System Re-Certification, procurement of
Hardware/Licenses.
