Java Developer with Grails Experience Buffalo, NY 6 Months We are seeking an intermediate to senior level Java developer with skills in Grails and WebSphere Portal development. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 - 5 years of experience, a 4 year degree, and strong knowledge of the full SDLC. The project that they will be assigned to is in flight. The candidate may be asked to perform the following: . Code, document, test, debug, maintain and implement programs from provided specifications. . Create accurate and complete detailed design specifications which will be assigned to other resources. . Assist with the gathering of information as it pertains to the technical requirements of the application design. . Provide timely and accurate estimates for newly proposed functionality/enhancements and review other team members' estimates for completeness and accuracy. . Ensure development standards, methodologies, compliance and Quality Assurance practices are being followed. . Ensure that software systems are properly integrated in support of business goals and objectives. . Provide satisfactory documentation for all completed work assignments. . Perform administrative duties such as status reports and time reporting. . Perform special duties & assignments within scope of expected skills and experience. . Gain an understanding of business processes and procedures and prepare limited user-level documentation.
