Title : SAP Instance Manager
Role Summary/Purpose:
The SAP Instance Manager is responsible for leading the support and
maintenance
activities for one or more SAP instances . He/She will provide
leadership and
project level management in the planning, design, development,
implementation,
operation and control of IT solutions as it relates to on-going support
of SAP.
They will also act as the primary liaison between app owners and the
technical
support team, with responsibility for ensuring a successful partnership
for support.
Essential Responsibilities:
-Directly responsible for all support related activities for one or more
applications of SAP.
-Responsible for program activities and deliverables within functional
area through individual operational engagement, directing activities of
vendor teams, and influencing of 3rd-party teams.
-Manage SAP FICO Solution & Blue Print Architecture while driving
Standardization initiatives.
-Lead Quality, Best Practice initiatives and support SOX controls
-Act as subject matter expert for assigned area, processes, and
supporting applications functionality, as well as escalation to
functional managers.
-Maintain current knowledge of new system management practices &
information technologies that are applicable to business objectives &
creatively promote their use.
-Support organizational leadership in the planning, evaluation, design,
development, implementation, & operation of IT solutions specific to
area of responsibility.
-Evaluate and/or produce business plans & operating practices, which
improve quality, increase productivity & reduce costs for area of
responsibility.
Lead the preparation of long range systems support and maintenance plans
& assure that they are in tune with business objectives & goals.
-Prepare, review and present overall applications support plans, status
reports & cost/benefit analysis.
-Work as a business partner with client leaders & users to
evaluate/improve support processes & arrive at mutual, cost effective
solutions.
-Manage effort to ensure any enhancements and changes to the system have
been properly vetted, address customer requirements and do not introduce
on-going support risks.
-Work closely with the Energy SAP Strategy & Governance team,
BASIS/Technology team, and Energy P&L's, in operationalizing an
effective change management process for planned releases.
-Maintain effective communication with customer, client, supplier &
system stakeholders.
-Assure conformance to system architecture, methods, standards &
practices & promote their creation.
-Initiate & coordinate outsource supplier efforts as required.
Qualifications/Requirements:
3-6 years of strong SAP FICO experience with at least 5 years of
experience in ERP project management related to implementation or
support of ERP technologies.
-Experience in GL, AR, AP, CO, Fixed Assets, ECCS functionalities &
Period End (Closing) activities.
Job Location : Bangalore/Hyderabad
Experience - 7-17 yrs
