Kindly send your profiles to * [email protected]* *Client is looking for a web developer for over 4,000 hours.* * * *JOB TITLE: .ASP/Java Web Developer* *LOCATION: Austin Texas* *START DATE: ASAP – Approximately 2/1/11* *DURATION: Through August 2013* Client is seeking an innovative and dedicated Web-Based Applications Developer (worker) to develop a Web-based mapping applications programming efforts using ASP.net and Javascript. The Worker will use Microsoft Bing Maps, Google Maps, ESRI API’s and other open source tools, using agile software development methods, to work on the next phase of the Geospatial Emergency Management Support System (GEMSS), a state-of-the-art online mapping systems that supports spatial queries and the display of geographical data. The Worker will work with a core team of other developers, web designers, database administrators and data developers in web-based mapping projects and related tasks for internal and external applications. The Worker will work under the guidance of the Information Services Team Leader to develop and execute tasks as required. Tasks include: analysis of project needs, technical architecture, and software development, coding and revision; coordinating and developing with other team members (technical and non-technical); maintaining software development and application infrastructure (ie, automated builds, revision control, automated test clients, etc); developing user documentation and online help systems for applications; providing technical assistance to staff and customers as required; training others in the use of internal applications; and maintaining and documenting existing code. The worker will report weekly on work progress and update internal issue tracking and wiki-based knowledge management systems.
