*Oracle DBA w/ OTM (Oracle Transportation Management)** ** *Location: Livonia, MI or Windsor, CT Duration: 4 months Rate: open +expenses Required Skills: -Oracle_Technology_Oracle_Database - 5 years experience, 5 implementations -Logistics: Transportation Execution - 3 years experience, 2 implementations -Logistics: Transportation Planning Implementation - 3 years experience, 2 implementations -OTM Migration experience Pre-Qualifying questions that must be answered before submitting: -Have you ever setup up multiple Oracle Databases in a RAC architecture ? -Are you experienced with Database performance tuning in a RAC architecture ? -Have you ever migrated OTM from 32 bit version 5.5 to 64 bit version 6.2 ? -Have you performed day to day DBA responsibilities on an OTM implementation? Description of Services: Consultant will be replacing client's OTM DBA who recently left for another job opportunity. - Setup RAC Database configuration with 2 dedicated Database servers. - Migrate OTM from version 5.5 (32 bit) to version 6.2.x (64 bit). - Perform performance tuning on the Database. - Setup automated trouble monitoring with alerts. - Assist as needed with performance-related troubleshooting as well as any Oracle exception errors. - Proactively identify any areas of concern and provide recommendations as they are identified. - Perform all other day-to-day Oracle DBA responsibilities.
