Job description :
Work within the Firmware Engineering team for the
design, development, implementation and testing of the firmware and
embedded software for blood glucose meter products.
Support the Firmware Project Leader by providing effective technical
solutions to firmware system architecture and product configurations.
Create and maintain firmware structure and code for product
development in an embedded system environment.
Sub-lead for meter low power RF firmware architecture, design,
implementation, and unit/integration testing, including oversight of
other contract engineers.
Assistance with Hazard Analysis, DFMEAs, and design document creation
& maintenance. Support the Firmware Unit & Integration Test team
through effective firmware analysis, code inspection and white-box
testing of embedded firmware operation based on defined requirements,
design and performance specifications.
At a minimum, candidate must have a Bachelor of Science degree in
Electrical or Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
In addition, 5+ years experience in embedded software design,
development and testing using C programming language, including
integrated development environments, debugging tools and techniques.
Experience with implementation, integration, and/or testing of low
power RF protocol software stacks, such as Bluetooth, Bluetooth Low
Energy or similar, is preferred.
Embedded firmware unit & integration testing or other related
experience is a plus.
