Direct Client Need

Performance Test Lead/Architect
Location: NYC
Duration: 12 Months

Key Responsibilities:

Scope performance testing efforts, prioritize test cases and develop solid 
project milestones
Design and run scalability, stability and stress tests using industry standard 
and custom developed tools
Develop testing scenarios based on current production traffic patterns and 
predicted future traffic
Design appropriately sized environments to generate adequate load to emulate 
various production traffic patterns
Analyze and summarize test results and create capacity plans/best practice 
guides
Automate test scenarios and enhance testing frameworks
Generate periodic reports showing current product load and performance against 
predicted load and target performance goals
Guide application development teams regarding the potential solutions for their 
respective applications
Build an overall roadmap for performance testing with the organization 
evaluating different products and build a best size fit framework within the 
organization

Minimum Job Requirements:

7-10 years work experience with .NET/J2EE technologies
7-10 years of software benchmark testing, performance analysis and measurement 
of technically challenging systems
Strong troubleshooting and reasoning skills
Strong knowledge of HTTP load generation and measurement software (ex: 
LoadRunner, WebLOAD, JMeter, Siege, Grinder)
Familiarity with tools such as Fiddler, Firebug and JProfiler
Proficiency with the following technologies - .NET, ASP.NET, JavaScript, IIS, 
XML, JSON, SQL, SQL Server,
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field is 
required
Familiarity with n-Tier software architectures
Ability to debug and resolve difficult technical problems and system bottlenecks
Demonstrable experience with .NET Applications
Ability to determine the feasibility of projects in a fast paced deadline 
driven environment
Ability to anticipate problems proactively and take appropriate actions to 
mitigate negative impact
Exposure to iterative and incremental agile software development methodology is 
a plus.
