We are currently seeking an SCCM/Desktop Engineer in San Diego. We can pay
up to 50/hr for this 1 year contract. Our client (Scripps Hospital) will
hire off a phone screen but this person must sit on site in San Diego.



*Job Description:*



This role will act as a subject matter expert (SME) for desktop
engineering.  S/he will provide technical support and maintenance for an
enterprise desktop environment, client applications, printers, user
experience, and system management infrastructure.  S/he will ensure current
processes such as software/hardware development and deployment are properly
followed, in addition to providing high level support to other teams. The
successful candidate position will work on multiple projects of varying
complexities and priorities for the engineering team.  Deliverables will
vary from assisting with desktop technologies and processes to the
deployment and management of desktop IT solutions. The successful candidate
will collaborate with internal IT support teams and resources in other
departments within the business. This is a high level position with
significant operational responsibilities and will require a detail-oriented
individual able to follow complex technical instructions.





*Key Responsibilities*

The successful candidates will possess proven experience in the
technologies, areas and applications listed below:

·         Primary responsibility will be assisting with troubleshooting and
remediation of Windows 7 related of issues

·         Troubleshooting of remote software deployment to client
workstations via remote management tool SCCM

·         The utilization of various scripted tools including VB and
PowerShell  to automate processes

·         Creation of technical and operational management documentation
and updates

·         Working with the change management process in line with
organization processes

·         Ensuring all new and proposed software is tested with existing
desktop images prior to deployment

·         Execution of queries against systems management databases

·         Planning, prioritization, and organization of work and
deliverables

·         Staying current on industry developments and best practices and
recommendations by communicating with peers, vendors, and industry contacts



*Minimum Qualifications:*

·         2 years of experience working with Active Directory

·         2 years of experience troubleshooting and enabling configuration
management with Group Policy Objects (GPO) as they relate to the desktop

·         5 years of experience installing, configuring, automating, and
troubleshooting Windows XP, Windows 7,  Office 2003, and Office 2010
product suites

·         Solid understanding Operating System Deployment preferably with
Microsoft SCCM

·         5 years of experience configuring and troubleshooting issues
specific to IE6, 7, 8, 9

·         Strong documentation and communication skills

·         Ability to complete tasks with minimal instruction and supervision

·         Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of end users,
IT and management staff

·         Attention to detail as well as strong organizational, planning,
problem-solving and multi-tasking skills



*Preferred Qualifications:*

·         Experience working with and troubleshooting Bitlocker/MBAM
related issues

·         5 years of experience with scripting technologies such as VB and
PowerShell

·         Solid understanding of networking concepts and technologies
including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, PXE, and load balancing

·         Experience working in an enterprise of 5000+ users

·         Experience working in healthcare IT

·         Experience with Operating System Deployment installation,
configuration and automation via PXE, SCCM, MDT, DISM

·         Expert level experience with Microsoft SCCM in deploying
operating systems, applications, patch management, asset management, and
desired configurations

·         Strong understanding of SQL/WQL Query language for SCCM queries

·         Experience with desktop virtualization technologies such as
Citrix XenDesktop and XenApp

·         Knowledge of AGPM, MBAM, DaRT, MDOP, MDT2010/2012, SSO, Device
Encryption, and iOS
