Location: Long Island, NY - 6 months *Brief Job details: * Sr. SA with hands on experience to help stand up a new VMAX 10K; Architecting, capacity planning, storage strategy, implementing Oracle and SQL on VMAX. Help a spread thin storage team adopt and implement EMC technology quickly and assist the customer Storage Admin team on some day to day activities. We would like someone with a wide variety of EMC experience to work with the EMC Account Team and the Account on technology next steps. Provide info back to the Account Team on trends within the account. Customer has a large Netapps file footprint and no EMC NAS-that is a target area for the Account Team. There might be a need for some migration planning; Assist with the SAN architecture. *Skills:* · Must Have Skills; solid verbal and written communication; leadership ability; VMAX SA skills; · performance/capacity; storage admin skills; Cisco/MDS; recoverpoint; familiarity with · Oracle and SQL; FAST · *NX Platform* · *Navi analyzer collection and "nar" file handling* · *Deployment and use of VNX Reporting* · *Threshold alerting for latency, i/o etc* · *Centralized management of multiple sites with Unisphere* · *VMAX-* · *Exit plan for ECC, how to preserve the critical functions relied on today* · *Performance threshold alerting with SPA (?)* · *Review of FAST policies* · *Review provisioning practices* · *Possible implementation of snapshot on VMAX* · *RecoverPoint - Snapshot consolidation review/implementation* · *Possibly implement local protection* · *Scripting Enhance reporting and error handling on the 2 script processes being implemented at DT Canada* *Duration:* 6 months *Rate DOE/hr CTC* Please send the updated resume of the consultant along with the rate, location and contact information.
