Here is the job description: Title: Quality Engineer II Duration: 6 Month Contract Location: Sacramento, CA *US Citizens or Green Card or EAD Required* This position performs a wide variety of tasks under minimal supervision. The candidate will provide thorough and practical solutions to a wide range of technical problems through the application of quality engineering disciplines and tools. This position requires the candidate to be a leader with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Major Responsibilities 45% Applies engineering and quality procedures to support procured hardware requirements to assure that purchased products and/or services conform to contractual and Aerojet requirements. Works with Product &Mission Assurance, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Engineering in analyzing, evaluating, and solving technical problems encountered in the procurement of hardware/services. 25% Work with Procurement, Manufacturing, and Engineering to identify, select and develop subcontractors. Approve purchase requisitions; provide quality flow-down requirements. Communicate product and quality requirements to the Material Quality Assurance Field engineers. Supports procured hardware documentation and acceptance review activities including logbook reviews. Work with the suppliers and Aerojet in the initiation and closure of root cause and corrective/preventative action 15% Provide thorough and practical solutions to a wide range of technical problems involving the utilization of manufacturing and quality engineering techniques which may include gage and instrumentation adequacy, NDT technology, and GD&T as it applies to procured hardware. Review of engineering drawings for manufacturability, inspect ability, dimensioning and tolerancing.
