Job Description and Requirements: Skills Required • Strong knowledge of the Financial Information eXchange (FIX 4.2, 4.4) protocol for Futures electronic trading (buy/sell sides) • 5 years Java/J2EE Development experience • Strong knowledge of OMS concepts Preferred Experience • Expertise in server infrastructure deployment, capacity planning, networking infrastructure setup • Unix, Linux, familiarity with Unix commands and troubleshooting application performance issues • Shell scripting, Perl • Familiarity with networking concepts, understanding of TCP/IP concepts • If possible, experience deploying GL/Sungard software • Futures Product knowledge and experience dealing with the intricacies of the futures exchanges in the Americas Roles and responsibilities The e-trading technology team supports the technology needs for facilitating Electronic trading on over 50 global exchanges. Our technology stack includes trading system components from Sungard GT [formerly GL Trade], FIX and OMS applications from ULLink, trading applications from Trading Technologies and a wide variety of applications developed in-house. Most of the applications are developed in Java, J2EE, C++, FIX, Perl etc and support Electronic trading, technical on-boarding of clients, reporting, STP feeds to middle and back office systems etc. The development team that designs and supports the FIX and OMS environments is looking for a new member. Very strong ability to work on integration projects is a must, as daily tasks and projects will require a clear understanding on how multiple systems interact. The team is responsible for the management of capacity, performance of the environment as well as the development of new features sponsored by the business. As such, the candidate must be able to work in parallel on medium term projects (release process of new binaries, architecture, features) as well as daily tasks (trouble shooting , helping the production teams) The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and an innovative thinker with a strong focus on quality of delivery and a continuous focus on improving existing processes, procedures and applications.
