* [email protected] <[email protected]>Title: QA Analyst* *Location: St. Cloud, MN* *Duration: 6+ Months contract* *Need Locals only* Under direct supervision, assists with designing, developing, documenting, and executing manual and automated test plans/scripts. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Software Quality Assurance Engineer may perform some or all of the following, as well as other duties, as assigned. • Solves complex, analytical problems in innovative ways through the use of problem solving and troubleshooting • Requests, configures, and administers server/workstation environments and network operating systems on behalf of project team for software development and testing • Designs, codes, documents, and executes manual and automated test plans/scripts to verify and validate the software product meets acceptance criteria • Identifies and documents defects discovered by the testing process and facilitates resolution of the defects • Assists project team members with evaluating and prioritizing work items • Proactively identifies, recommends, and implements improvements to Software Quality Assurance testing processes • Communicates in a professional manner when interacting with internal or external customers • Produces well-written technical and business documentation • Proactively generates relevant ideas for new and improved use of technology based on knowledge of WKFS business, products and systems, and our customers' business needs • Has regular attendance • Embraces change and adaptation • Collaborates and builds effective business relationships • Individually motivated and focused on delivering quality results • Clear, transparent and frequent communication • Continuous attention to technical excellence • Ability to work as part of a self-organizing team Job Qualifications: Candidate must have completed two years of a BS Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or technical degree with a GPA of 3.0 or greater. A four year degree preferable. Candidate must have 1 to 2 years programming experience and relevant course work in one of the following languages: C++/JAVA/C#/.NET/Object Oriented Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications: • Experience with developing and testing client/server or web applications • Knowledge of Networks and Windows Operating Systems • Knowledge of Internet Browsers • Demonstrated ability to interact directly with team members to gain the necessary acceptance criteria to create acceptance tests • Uses software tools needed to perform the functions associated with verifying and validating the software product meets acceptance criteria • Understanding of XML • Understanding of relational databases and SQL • Effective problem solving and analysis skills. Solves complex, analytical problems independently • Flexible and able to work with multiple priorities • Ability to adjust work schedule • Strong detail orientation • Time management skills • Keeps technical skills current • Proven teamwork skills Primary use of this resource would be to automate the .NET development work for a short-term project utilizing Visual Studio Web Tests. If we can leverage them in actual application development as well that would be great, therefore .NET experience is valued (C#, ASP.NET, etc.).
