Salesforce experience is preferred* *Role: Heroku Developer * *Location: Minneapolis, MN* *Duration: Long Term* *Description* The Heroku Developer will work with internal stakeholders and team members to design and deliver innovative, high quality solutions to ensure that business needs are met to increase business profitability and performance. Interact with business leaders and in-house Salesforce & Heroku team to gather and document business requirements. Design, build and implement enhancements to Heroku leveraging standard functionality and use custom programming as needed. We're seeking an application developer who is opinionated on UI/UX, who is willing to try their hand at all levels of the stack, is able to completely own the delivery of a product or feature, and can also communicate and collaborate effectively with a team. You’re proud to show off for a polished UI, appropriate use of JavaScript, and optimized backends! *Specific Responsibilities * • Developer experience and goal-directed design • Test Driven Design/Development • Improving developer productivity • Ruby • SQL (preferable Postgres) • Javascript (and jQuery) • Heroku app deployment & management *Qualifications* • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience • Amazon Web Services (AWS e.g. S3, EC2) • Min two years of experience on Heroku • Performance optimization, SQL tuning, caching strategies • API design • You should be prepared to interact directly with users via email, at conferences, and during occasions such as office hours.· • Solid experience in Apex and Visual Force programming including triggers, controllers, test classes, and batch Apex. • Experience with Salesforce toolsets (Force IDE, Data Loader, Workbench, Ant) • Able to design complex SOQL and SOSL queries. • Experience with ETL Tools like Informatica or Cast Iron a plus • Proven ability to independently perform full life cycle applications development including requirements, design, coding, testing, implementation and documentation. • Exposure to Agile development methodologies a plus. • Excellent communication, analytical, interpersonal and presentation skills • Experience with Business Intelligence software including MicroStrategy, Oracle Apex, and Interfaces a plus. *Technical Skills:* • Working experience on coding, Deployment , operations and other related activities on Heroku. • Hands of experience on JavaScript and other web technologies (XHTML, CSS, Ajax, JQuery, etc.) • Good exposure with Heroku CLI v2.36.1 • Working knowledge on Ruby and Python • Working experience on Amazon Web Services (AWS e.g. S3, EC2) • Comfort with RESTful API design and execution (Sinatra) • Comfort with command-line scripting in a Unix environment • Experience in web hosting and web setup on Heroku. Also take responsibility to add Add-ons on Heroku • Create employee social networks with Salesforce Chatter, Salesforce Rypple and Salesforce Force.com . • Connect with customers on public social networks with Salesforce Heroku and Salesforce Radian 6. • Good understanding of Databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, and NoSQL databases) • Knowledge on Database connectivity with Heroku and used ruby 1.9.2p0 and rails3.1 with the authentication using Devise and authorization • Good exposure of Deployment in Heroku server and configuration. • Good understanding of Application Developments • Develop Rail apps in the cloud using Heroku • Experience with Heroku infrastructure and manifolds • Be a well-organized and effective communicator. • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. • Ability to work overtime during peak season as needed.
