*Network Design Consultant* *Location: Franklin Lakes, NJ Duration: 6+ months Ongoing* This resource will be required to provide the following: · Network Services responsible for the development of network solutions in support of complex business and mission requirements. · Evaluates networking technologies, software, systems, and services to develop technical solutions, keeps abreast of vendor products and services commercially available in the marketplace. · Develops and generates conceptual, logical, and physical network architectures, resulting documents and drawings, testing analyses, test plans, and risk assessments to ensure sound architecture meeting client needs. · Design and implement complex data center network followed by Creating/updating well detailed engineering documents for any project they are involved in. · Participates as the lead Telecommunications and Networking subject matter expert in the development of solutions in support of new business and account expansion creating strategies to win business in new markets or current accounts. · Must have hands on working knowledge of a wide range of network technologies in a variety of environments such as LAN, Data Center, WAN, Enterprise voice using IPT & VoIP technologies, Unified Communications, Transport services, and Mobility. Knowledge and expertise across multiple vendors (ie. firewalls, switches, routers, load balancers, DNS). · Must demonstrate experience developing enterprise implementations to include complex designs, implementations schedules, and migration approaches. · Provides tier 3 troubleshooting support with the most complex data, video, or voice network and hardware problems; researches and analyzes significant, complex network problems that require evaluation of intangibles, such as downstream effects on client satisfaction; assesses and evaluates current and future systems. · Demonstrates experience in leading a team that analyzes designs, troubleshoots, and implements network architectures and solutions in order to best meet client requirements; leverages resources from different teams to ensure that customer needs are met. · Determines methods and procedures to be implemented and used on the most complex new technologies to enhance performance. Determines approach for customer, based on assessment of customer needs. · Researches technological advancements to ensure that voice, video, and data networking solutions are continuously improved, supported, and aligned with industry and company standards. Evaluates complex data, video, or voice networking technologies to understand their potential and recommends future direction. · Evaluates cost analysis and vendor comparisons for large scale projects to ensure cost-effective and efficient operations, and measures feasibility of various approaches. Ensures adherence to model created and overall budgetary guidelines. · Recommends complex investment decisions to management and customers based on results of independent assessment of current and future data or voice network performance, stability, and network management issues. · Design, configure and install complex network systems. · Experience with direct customer interaction with the client as a technology partner. · Must speak and write effectively, facilitates inter-group cooperation & communication. · Must be able to analyze and think critically but stay focused to the specifics · Must be detail-oriented & be able to creatively solve problems. · Creating/updating well detailed engineering documents for any project they are involved in. *Qualifications *· Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and industry experience · Ten or more years of experience in networks, LAN/WAN, Security or management information systems · Broad experience working with multiple technical platforms (e.g.; backend server-DB, two-tiered client-server, three-tiered server-client-server) and multiple network systems along with the interoperability (e.g.; Nortel, Cisco, Juniper, CheckPoint, Microsoft server, Windows XP, etc) · Extensive experience in time, priority and task management · Experience working with network software and hardware, data, voice or video. · Strong network performance modeling and benchmarking skills · Strong communication skills to interact with team members, management, customers and support personnel emerge · Experience working with network systems and networking principles, data, voice or video · Interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members · Strong ability to analyze and solve complex problems using analytical and creative problem solving skills for design, creation and testing of networks · Ability to work independently and as part of a team · Ability to anticipate problems, resolve ambiguity and take decisive action · Ability to convey a strong presence, professional image, and deal confidently with highly complex technical problems · Design & test (POC) independently and be accurate with the communication of test results. · Thrives in a time- critical initiatives and work in results-oriented environment *TECHNICAL SKILLSET* *Security Products:* Cisco ASA, Nokia Checkpoint NGX, Juniper SRX, Sourcefire IDS, Cisco VPN concentrators, Cisco ACS (Access Control Server), Cisco AIP-SSM(IPS) module, VPN-IPsec/SSL/Anyconnect VPN client, , Cisco NAC, RSA SecurID, Content filtering, BlueCoat, *Proxies:* BlueCoat ProxySG Appliances, Netcache proxies *Load Balancers: * F5 BIG-IP LTM, BIG-IP GTM, Citrix Netscaler *Network Management:* Checkpoint Provider1, Blue Coat Director, F5 EM, BMC , ASDM, Cisco Configuration Asst, CSM (Cisco Security manager), SNMP, Wire Shark, Solar Winds, Sniffer Pro 4.7 & tcpdump. *LAN/WAN Products:* Cisco 6500/4500/3700/3500/2960 & Cisco 7600/7200/3800/2800.
