The following position is open with our client in NYC Duration: 12 months+ PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A WEB DESIGNER ROLE (please *do not send* me *Web Applications Developers)* Position Title: Web Designer Position Level: Intermediate to Senior Position Type: Contract- 12 month duration Location: New York or Newport Beach (New York preferred) *Candidates MUST have Portfolio of work to show* Job Summary Primary responsibilities include designing wireframes and comps for internal/external websites; email marketing newsletter; and mobile apps/websites. Collaborate with web development team and business sponsors/stakeholders on new design concepts. Additional responsibilities include developing interactive content; daily support and maintenance of existing graphics for the company’s corporate website. The Web Designer will have the opportunity to take on responsibilities for building out design comps into front end code using HTML5 and CSS. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: •Design wireframes and comps for internal/external websites; email marketing newsletter and mobile apps/websites. •Develop interactive content; daily support and maintenance of existing graphics for the company’s corporate website. •Collaborate with web development team and business sponsors/stakeholders on new design concepts. •Develop webpage layouts in Abode Photoshop. •Convert design comps into front end code using HTML5 and CSS. •Design, optimize and edit images for web/multimedia/mobile applications. •Video capturing/editing/manipulation (Adding graphics, subtitles, disclaimers and in some cases web optimizing). Qualifications: •5+ years’ web design experience. •Ability to convert wireframes and comps into front end code using HTML5 and CSS. •Strong knowledge of client side scripting such as JavaScript, AJAX and JQuery. •Knowledge and best practices of UI design/implementation for both web and mobile applications. •Graphic design skills with Adobe Photoshop are a must.
