Primarily Java based. Will be required to do some manual testing though as part of the team and will be responsible for analyzing, testing, tracking and issue reporting of IT product lines that are developed for our customers. This position works in collaboration with Application Development, the Quality Assurance team, Project Management, Business Analysts, and other IT stakeholders to ensure that the applications development projects have been tested thoroughly and meet the required deliverables and quality standards. Role includes planning, designing, developing, executing and tracking the results of associated automated test efforts. This level of software engineer will work on every story in the sprint but will not be involved in design work. They take direction from lead / architect but will oversee work and provide mentorship to lower level software engineers. This level will take a high level (and often vague) task and break it down into small well-defined tasks and manage them to fruition. Full latitude for independent judgment when applying skills and problem solving capabilities, with input and minimal oversight required by lead, architect or supervisor.
