*Job Description:* The client is looking to start interviewing soon and only have 1 candidate in consideration. I have a pretty urgent need with my client in Rockville, MD. This is going to be a long term migration project where the consultant will be responsible for migrating legacy .net applications to Java. This consultant must be able to work independently as well as to meet strict deadlines. This project will be for aver 1 year. H1’s OK but must have strong communication skills. Please let me know if you can help. *ABOUT THE PROJECT:* Porting .NET systems to Java, to support future maintenance 7 Plus Years of experience Preferred *Summary of Duties:* Provide Java conversion of existing .NET systems, working from design documentation provided by a .NET analyst and working with in-house Java development staff as needed, resulting in fully functional Java-based versions of these utilities that can be maintained by in-house Java development staff. Three systems are targeted for this effort, Pageloader, USPLLServices and the MaRS reporting tool. *Required Skills:* College degree in related field (BS in Computer Science preferred) and 7+ years of relevant experience in full life cycle systems design, analysis and programming emphasizing n-tier applications development and web services. Individual must be self-motivated and work well in teams. Strong communications skills are required. Experience in Java (J2EE, JSP, EJB, Servlets, Struts, Spring, Hibernate, JSP), MySQL, Oracle (Database Design, Oracle SQL), XML, XSLT/XSL:FO/SAX, HTML, JavaScript, JSON, SOAP, and CSS required.
