Role: QA Specialist Location: Dover, DE - *(DE, MD, NJ, PA candidates Only)* Duration: 8+ Months *Rate: $38/hr on C2C that the max and best.* This contractor will be responsible for working with the Delaware Legislature's IT Department to assist in the pre-production testing of a new legislative tracking system. This system will manage and document the process of a bill becoming law. The QAS Specialist will work with Application Teams during assessment periods. The QAS Specialist reports to the Quality Assurance Team Lead. Quality Assurance Specialists must have a detailed understanding of processes which support the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have had extensive experience supporting other QA teams and have contributed during various phases of testing. This person should have extensive testing experience including writing test scripts, plans and cases. QAS2 Years of Relevant Experience: 5 years software development, testing, and project management Preferred Education: 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study Review and check project’s software development activities and the associated internal tasks required by the agencies as employed by the project and specified in the project plan. Monitor progress of action item resolution activity. Review and understand project team work plan. Determine time estimates and schedule for software quality review work. Conduct reviews according to schedule. Organize and prepare work effectively to facilitate proactive resolution of problems, rather than reactive. Identify and track issues, risks and action items affecting own work and work of team. Report on progress of action item resolution and possible risk areas. Anticipate and resolve issues specific to the team. Determine time estimates and schedule for own work and resolve issues in a timely manner. This contractor will be responsible for assisting with the creation of training materials.
