I wanted to see if you could help me out with finding a Data Modeler for our client here in Denver, CO Bachelor degree in computer science or related technical field required. - 5+ years of experience in data administration activities and logical and physical data modeling required. - May substitute an equivalent combination of education and experience. - Experience with performance tuning of analytical data systems - Experience in creating designs for enterprise warehouses, data marts, data cubes preferred. - Knowledge of data elements used in healthcare provider systems strongly preferred. - Knowledge of best practices in logical and physical database design required. - Coordinates across cross functional BI project team of BI analyst, report developer, ETL developer, test analyst, support analyst - Work with BI analyst, BI manager and development lead select architecture, set priorities and escalate issues - Work with BI support lead to resolve support and break-fix issues - Interaction with customers and user communities to provide support and data access functionality and future needs - Provide feedback to BI leadership on user satisfaction and issues with data warehouse environment - Responsible for timely and quality completion of work assigned for support, break-fix, minor development or major development. - Accountable for contributing to and developing high quality, customer-friendly BI solutions, as evidenced by taking ownership for data quality, report quality and customer satisfaction. - Responsible for proactively identifying opportunities for BI to improve customer focus, system thinking and quality (data and functionality). Can readily identify efficient and effective options for new solutions, break-fix , or customer issues. - Takes ownership of being informed about existing and new BI deliverables as well as the customers and data providers. - Responsive to solving problems using SMART methodology: Specific, Measurable, Actionable, Realistic and Time Bound. - Knowledgeable about CHI data warehouse data and BI solutions. Responsible for using available resources to perform in depth research and providing direction to customers as they seek to develop or use existing BI solutions. - Appropriately escalates and pro-actively communicates with BI leaders to confirm priorities and approach. - Transforms business requirements into conceptual logical data models and identifies data re-use opportunities. - Active participant in requirements gathering process; readily identifies options and educates customer on BI possibilities that ensure delivery of what the customer needs, not just what they ask for. - Responsible for database solution design, build and implementation - Responsible for keeping current on upcoming database design, releases, and participating in upgrade planning and implementation.
