Location: Bridgeport, CT Rate: DOE Skills: Vignette Systems Administrator Description: Role: Middleware Systems Administration ======================================= Setup and Install Configure System Parameters Secure System Deploy application code Tune System Performance Monitor and Manage System Availability Monitor and Manage System Capacity Perform System backups and restores Automate monitoring, deployment and maintenance tasks using system tools and shell scripts. Support sponsored projects with required technical expertise Technical Skills ================ OS Platforms: Windows 200x, Windows XP, Unix - Solaris 10, Linux Shell Scripting: Unix Shell Commands and scripting. Additional knowledge of VBScript or Power Shell preferred. Protocols: HTTP/HTTPS, SOAP, XML, TCP/UDP, SSH, FTP, SFTP, SSL/TLS, RPC etc. Databases: Working Knowledge of RDBMS such as Oracle, Sybase, and MS-SQL as it relates to administered products and applications Networking: Knowledge of firewalls, network addressing (TCP/IP), NAT/PAT, Ports, Sockets etc as it relates to administered products and applications Web Server: IBM HTTP Server, Apache Web server, IIS 6.x/7.x Middleware: IBM Websphere Application Server 6.x and 7.x, IBM MQ server 5.x, 6.x, BEA Web logic Other: IBM and SUN Java (JRE, JDK, JDBC) Content Management: Vignette 7.x/8.x Content Management Vignette System Administration Skills: ===================================== Plan and install a Vignette Content implementation. Install and configure the Content Delivery Services Manage system via VCM Management Console as well as command-line tools Preview Portal Administration Delivery Portal Administration Administer Sites channels and classifications Perform Role-based security in VCM. Implement and support LDAP integration Administer VCM Workflows. Perform VCM Database related tasks Troubleshoot content deployment issue Use VCM Tools to manage Vignette Content Node and make configuration changes as required Audit Console administration Other Vignette Knowledge required to support environment and publishing team ============================================================ Vignette Content system architecture.
