CCIE LAN Architect/Support Engineer – CCIE CERTIFICATION REQUIRED (SEE BELOW) Location: Georgetown, KY Duration: 1 year with ongoing renewal Rate: Open – please be as competitive as possible – no rate given. Description: · CCIE Level CISCO Network Engineer co-responsible for evaluating and specifying LAN Architecture solutions and ensuring successful implementation of these services across Toyota Manufacturing and R&D sites in North America. · Acts as vendor liaison to ensure compliance with latest technologies and risk assessments / compliance. Ensures uninterrupted access to LAN services for Toyota NA and producing / posting monthly KPI reports. · Conducts monthly assessment of LAN utilization in support of consensus driven / planned enhancements and long-term stability for each supported site and provides written recommendations including costs for bandwidth capacity / hardware (increase / decrease) to meet business requirements. · Owns CiscoWorks product / LAN config backups / restorations ensuring 100% coverage for all LAN resources. · Leads service outage investigations and restoration activities including problem reporting and root cause analysis. · Provides primary interface to vendors for evaluation of new technologies / potential future projects. · Responsible for developing and maintaining LAN diagrams including depiction of primary and redundant components with details on end point equipment (IP Addresses, etc) and contribution to WAN diagrams. · Supports annual capital projects providing technical and project management leadership. Requirements: · Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP networking, LAN / WAN design and support, data networking, CISCO network hardware programming (Switch and Router), Network operational management, Visualization software tools\ · CCIE required – FULL CCIE (Written and Practical) – OR – CCIE written with CCNP plus 7 years of enterprise, large environment support MPLS (6509). · In-depth experience with network design / administration with Enterprise Class hardware and 1000+ node infrastructure, QOS administration and VoIP required. · Highest level in job family, operating under minimum supervision. · Experience with Firewall / policy based management a plus. Technical / operational level understanding of carrier circuits sizing / implementation (T1, T3, DS3, OC3, OC12, etc). · Hands on experience implementing / managing Video over IP services (routers / devices), shaping traffic for WAN handoff. Experience with DMZ/ACL administration and other security appliances and CISCO, HP or Extreme hardware. · Current CCIE written and practical (will accept someone who has CCIE written who is scheduled to take practical within this next year) with 7 years of demonstrated knowledge and skills required to manage the routers and switches that form the network core, as well as edge applications that integrate voice, wireless, and security into the network. · In-depth / expert level knowledge of VPN services, Quality of Service, VoIP, Content switches admin and Cisco WCS / WLSM, BGP, EIGRP and OSPF. Must be fluent in the use of industry standard network analysis tools. · Software applications: MS Office Suite, Visio, Lotus Notes,and MS Project. · Expert proficiency level written, verbal and presentation communications skills to meet requirement of weekly status reporting, documenting problem outages and development of end user handover documents.
