| Duties & Responsibilites : | Provide DBA support to development team to roll out a high profile store application to all 8000 stores. Responsibilities: • Install, configure, optimize, and manage complex enterprise-wide SQL Server 2005 and 2008 instances, running on Windows Server 2003 and 2008 R2. • Design and maintain database backup and recovery plan. • Managing database level security, performance monitoring and troubleshooting • Owning, tracking and resolving database incidents • Collaborating with development teams • Reviewing alerts and reports daily - maintenance and monitoring Requirements: • 5 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA and strong knowledge of SQL Server 2005 and 2008 • Experience with database design, performance tuning and optimization • Experience with backups, restores and recovery models • Experience in clustering, replication and mirroring • Experience troubleshooting and resolving database issues • Solid understand of Windows Server • Excellent communication/Documentation skills • Good knowledge of SDLC |
