Duties & Responsibilites :	The Senior Technical Architecture Specialist is a technical project manager that can manage network, server and storage infrastructure projects. The Senior Technical Architecture Specialist is the technical Project Manager responsible for in the planning, budgeting, design, installation and maintenance of server, storage and network infrastructure This candidate should have strong architecture as follows, but should, primarily be a PM that can manage large enterprise wide projects involving external vendors. The Senior Technical Architecture Specialist is an expert manager of application systems infrastructure.  This individual is responsible for setting the direction and implementation for work. The Senior Technical Architecture Specialist provides technical design expertise, defines what technical requirements are needed to support defined business requirements, participates in detailed design, reviews system performance issues, reviews test plans, and provides technical guidance to development experts and vendors. The Senior Technical Architecture Specialist will interface with Executive Sponsors, Group Leads, and Lead Functional Architects to convey infrastructure requirements, plan, and schedule deployment of tasks, and resolve any issues that impact the deployment of the application delivery systems that cross agencies, divisions and may include federally integrated projects. The Senior Technical Architecture Specialist will work with vendors and suppliers to project detailed cost budgets.  Years of Relevant Experience:  5 to 8 years technical, and  1 to 2 years project management experience Preferred Education: 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study Role Description: Manager Department projects that require integration with statewide systems or applications. Manage/implement technologies that require VMware Expertise. Manage/implement technologies that require SAN connectivity Expertise. Working knowledge of firewalls and connectivity Knowledge of any of the following server applications, BizTalk, Corticon, and Oracle IAM. Interact with executive level business users or technical experts. Function as an expert related to architectural best practices. Create detailed architectural diagrams. Required / Desired Skills:     Prior experience as a Technical project manager directing vendors on enterprise wide projects Required 5 Years Prior experience managing technical aspects of projects involving firewalls and connectivity Required 3 Years Prior experience managing technical aspects of projects Cisco systems Required 5 Years Prior experience managing projects involving VMware Required 3 Years SAN connectivity expertise Highly desired 3 Years Prior experience with Blade Servers Required 3 Years Knowledge of BizTalk Desired    Knowledge of Corticon Desired    Knowledge of Oracle IAM Desired    Strong verbal and written communication skills Required
