| Duties & Responsibilites : | Description:-
The role of the Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee the affects of quality reviews to the project timeline throughout the project’s life-cycle.
The Project Manager must have outstanding communication skills and be successful at building relationships. The Project Manager must have the ability to think quickly, as well as, possess strong analytical skills in order to deliver a high level of service to SAO clients and build strong working relationships across the state. The Project manager must be highly organized and have a passion to manage projects.
Responsibilities:-
• Execute projects based on goals and deliverable that support business objectives in collaboration with management
• Ensure project documents are complete current and stored appropriately
• Surface project risks and escalate in a timely manner to the appropriate employees
• Proactively identify risks and opportunities to deliver projects on time and under budget
• Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders
• Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
• Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
• Track project milestones and deliverable
• Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations
• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and device contingency plans
• Conduct project post mortem and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful an unsuccessful project elements
• Document meeting notes and action items
• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely, accurate, and clear fashion
• Estimate resources and participants needed to achieve project goals
• Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel
• Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team
• Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
• Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas
• Motivate and oversee project team members and contractors and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
• Report status of projects on a regular basis to the Resource Scheduler and Project Management Lead
• Other responsibilities and key results areas will be assigned as required
• Performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision
Minimum Training & Experience:-
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and three years of related experience
OR
Associate degree/vocational certificate in a related field and five years of related experience
OR
One year at the lower level or position equivalent
Note: Some positions may substitute experience for education on a year-for-year basis
Preferred Qualifications:-
• Experience using MS Projects
• Project, implementation, and/or upgrade Project Management experience
• Familiarity with PS Financials 9.x or HCM 9.x
• PMP Certification
