| Duties & Responsibilites : | Duties include but are not limited to the following: 1. Work with customer agencies to migrate mail systems from Exchange 2003-2010, Novell GroupWise or Lotus Notes to a consolidated Exchange platform using integrated or 3rd party tools. 2. Establish co-existence solutions between Exchange and foreign mail systems to support customer requirements 3. Administer SQL server as it relates to email related applications. 4. Troubleshoot and diagnose our archiving solution. 5. Design, build and operate secure systems according to our build and operational standards. 6. Troubleshoot problems, work with and relate to other technical specialists focusing on Microsoft Exchange in a resource forest model and other disciplines such as Active Directory and desktop, web and mobile clients. 7. Respond to trouble tickets, analyze and resolve complex technical problems as they arise. 8. Configure and troubleshoot Forefront Online Protection for Exchange (FOPE). 9. Schedules, plans, and performs system upgrades, including coordinating the transition from test to production environments. 10. Install, configure, administer, report on and monitor Microsoft Exchange systems and objects within the system using Exchange tools, PowerShell and other scripting languages and monitoring tools including but not limited to MOM/SCOM. 11. Administer, maintain and troubleshoot the BlackBerry Enterprise Servers (BES) service. 12. Install, configure, administer and monitor Exchange Active Sync services and provide assistance with mobile devices. 13. Install, configure, administer and monitor Microsoft Lync services and troubleshoot related issues. 14. Consult with other technical specialists to develop maintenance, upgrade and rollback procedures. 15. Provides technical support to users and technical specialists, including off hours and on-call support. 16. Communicate clearly and effectively through both verbal and written means and develop and maintain productive working relationships within and across organizational boundaries. 17. Research, recommend and implement archiving solution based on industry best practices and our guidelines. 18. Provide a comprehensive disaster recovery plan for E-mail services that include system backups and fail over options as per our guidelines. 19. Recommends hardware and software upgrades according to growth statistics. |
