| Duties & Responsibilites : |
Will have a cell phone with email and text capability and be on-call as scheduled or needed
Will have ability to remote into GDOT network from home as needed
Demonstrated project experience in implementing data replication and business continuity database configurations
5+ Years hands on administrative experience with Oracle RDBMS versions 9i - 11gR2 on Solaris/Linux or SQL Server 2005 -2008 R2 on Windows Server/SharePoint farm
5+ Years hands on experience in managing backup, recovery and high availability scenarios for Oracle RDBMS including RAC and ASM, on Solaris/Linux
5+ Years hands on development and tuning of databases in Oracle/SQL Server
3+ years of hands on query experience with SQL /PL/SQL
3+ Years hands on administrative experiencing with Esri ArcGIS ArcSDE databases using Oracle/Oracle Spatial
Experience with Oracle OEM and SQL Server PTO/TSQL database monitoring tools
Experience with Oracle DataGuard, Oracle GoldenGate, Oracle Streams, and Oracle GRID Control
Strong SQL and UNIX scripting skills for job automation and batch data loading
Knowledge of indexes, index management, and statistics
Oracle and SQL Server database space management/storage design and capacity planning according to best practices
Oracle RMAN Backup and Recovery techniques
Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of staff and management
Demonstrate ability to generate entity relationship diagrams, create database documentation, data dictionaries, document system architecture, processes, procedures, and scripts
Strong knowledge of computer hardware, servers, network, SAN technologies, and I/O subsystems
