Duties & Responsibilites :	Job Details Database Administrator          Years of Experience: 4-7 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Client is seeking Oracle DBA for 9 month contract in Richmond, VA.  (Needs evaluation will take place at 6 months.  May be opportunity for position to be recruited as  full-time state position after 9 months.) - 3 years experience providing technical support of oracle 11g database systems on linux including installation, - configuration, maintenance, performance monitoring, backup and recovery, space management. - 1 - 3 years experience supporting Oracle RAC 11gr2 - 1 - 3 years experience RMAN, ASM, Dataguard, data pump, flashback. - Must have sound communication skills with management, development teams, systems administrators and vendors. - Strong analytical and problem solving skills. - Willingness to work off hours, when needed, for maintenance and troubleshooting.  The junior DBA will be working with a senior DBA and will receive mentorship. - 3 years experience providing technical sup Skill Required / Desired Amount of Experience Expertise Rating - Experience with backup and recovery, and space management for Oracle Database Systems. Required 2 Years   - Experience Supporting Oracle RAC 11gr2. Highly desired 1 Years   - Experience with RMAN, ASM, Databaguard, data pump, flashback. Highly desired 2 Years - Must have sound communication skills with management, development teams, systems administrators and vendors. Required       - Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Required       - Strong knowledge of both WIndows and Linux Operating Systems. Highly desired       - Skill using Oracle Tools such as TOAD.  Required       - Bachelor’s Degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or train Highly desired       - Related database analysis and/or administration experience.  Required 3 Years   - Application design experience utilizing hierarchal and/or relational database management systems.
