Job description
Workstation Support Specialist to provide technical support for diagnostic and trouble-shooting coverage for all Client user-based hardware and software.

Day to Day task to be performed:
1. Configuration and deployment of Microsoft Windows-based workstations. This includes image creation, creation of automated network installs for various software packages, and individual user profile creation.
2. PC rebuilds, complete laptop rebuilds, software installation and troubleshooting, Operating System (OS) installation and troubleshooting, and peripheral installation and troubleshooting.
3. Daily interaction with OMH users in response to submitted requests for technical assistance and problem calls logged through the CIT Help Desk.
4. Development of clear and concise documentation pertinent to supported hardware and software in use by OMH. Materials may be used by technical staff and/or end-users.
5. Configuration, deployment, and support of various models of network printers.
6. Manage computer and user accounts in Microsoft Active Directory to troubleshoot problems.
7. Develop clear and concise documentation for use by end users and/or technical staff regarding supported hardware and software for an organization's IT Department pertaining to solutions provided.

12-36 months
Experience in the usage and support of a collection of development platforms, technical architectures, or business applications and products that run on those platforms, beyond that of a Programmer
- The Authorized User may seek Specialists in the following areas (list is not exhaustive):
• Backup and Recovery
• Security

Skills Required
24 Months Demonstrated hands-on experience configuring and deploying PCs/laptops
18 Months Demonstrated hands-on experience using a remote control solution to troubleshoot user PC problems
12 Months Demonstrated hands-on experience configuring and deploying network printers
12 months Demonstrated hands-on experience using Microsoft Active Directory Account Services
12 Months Demonstrated hands-on experience dealing directly with users while troubleshooting problems.
12 Months Demonstrated experience working in a State, Federal or private industry customer support environment providing technical information/assistance
