*Position: Business Analyst* *Location: Austin, Texas * *Duration:6 Months* *Client: Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (TxDMV). * DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES The Department of Information Resources (DIR) requires the services of one Business Analyst, hereafter referred to as Worker(s), who meets the general qualifications of *ITSAC Business Analyst 2 Category, Emerging Technology Type* and the specifications outlined in this document for the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles *(TxDMV)*. All work products resulting from the project shall be considered “works made for hire” and are the property of the TxDMV. TxDMV may include pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Workers) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by the Texas law. TXDMV will pay no fees for criminal background checks, interviews or discussions, which occur during the process of selecting a Worker(s). The Worker will participate as a team member on project(s) which is/are key components of the TxDMV Automation System Project which is chartered to review and document current TxDMV business processes and identify future state opportunities for improvements that will ; enable TxDMV to provide exceptional service to customers and stakeholders (e.g., tax assessor-collectors, motor carriers, automobile dealers and the motoring public); comply with legislative mandates; and, support motoring public and law enforcement needs by protecting the safety of citizens through accurate and real-time data. · Develop and document business requirements and current and future business process workflows. · Facilitate business requirements work sessions including discussions using internal and external stakeholders. · Conduct business process workflow and requirements gathering. · Conduct validation process to ensure all current business process workflow and requirements are accurate and complete. · Perform and document gap analysis on current and future business process workflows. · Communicate between end-users and technical areas to ensure functional and non-functional business needs are captured in the business requirements. · Develop the Business Requirements Document (BRD) when required. · Perform analysis on future processes to determine impact and risk to organization on various dimensions including competency/skills, knowledge and communications. · Provide regular status reports of work performed to project management and TxDMV executives.
