*Description*

Responsible for the planning and engineering of an organizations systems
infrastructure. Includes the implementation and design of hardware and
software. Monitors the performance of systems. Typically requires a
bachelors degree in area of specialty and 6-8 years of experience in the
field or in a related area. Familiar with concepts, practices, and
procedures within a particular field. Relies on extensive experience and
judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated
tasks. Works under general supervision. Leads and directs the work of
others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically
reports to a manager or head of a unit/department



*Addition Job Description:*

Candidate should be a skilled Macintosh and Windows Client Engineer who
applies a broad and in-depth working knowledge of Macintosh and Windows
computers to a wide variety of assignments through the application of
technical concepts, practices, and procedures. The primary functions of
this position are to manage the Casper and SCCM infrastructure and to
manage Macintosh and Windows clients in a distributed computing
environment. This includes, but is not limited to, coordination of software
distribution, settings management, inventory discovery, software packaging,
support automation, troubleshooting and resolving problems. The candidate
will work in a large, complex work environment with critical deadlines.
Being able to work independently with little direction is a must. The
candidate provides image design, configuration, deployment and support for
enterprise wide Windows/Macintosh desktop products. The candidate will
demonstrate an ability to interface and consult with all levels of customer
and internal Management and Staff, as a Strategic Business Partner to build
upon Atos’ history of generating outstanding business results.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

5+ years experience in a Mac/SCCM enterprise environment

Experience in a large environment including a developer/designer community



Experience in a Mac environment that exists in a predominately Windows
infrastructure Experience with:

Gathering requirements, defining deliverables and estimating level of
effort Client/Server imaging: Casper Imaging, Apple Lion Server Utilities,
Microsoft MDT and OSD Deployments and Distribution: JAMF Software’s Casper
Suite, Microsoft SCCM



Scripting: Bash Shell, AppleScript, VBScript, etc.

Analyzing, testing, and engineering solutions for new hardware and software
Advanced troubleshooting of Mac/SCCM client issues.

The ability to socialize ideas, make recommendations and gather team
consensus to move forward.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:

Bachelor or Associates degree in computer science, IT or related field from
an accredited college.

Industry certificates: Apple/JAMF, MS SCCM, ITIL, LEAN

In depth and hands on experience with Microsoft NT 4.0, 2000, 2003, 2008
design and engineering. Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, MS
Group Policy (GPO) expertise, and one or more of the following: Clustering
expertise, VMware Virtual, Infrastructure, Citrix Metaframe. Enterprise
Patch Management expertise is required. Previous experience with Microsoft
MOF / ITIL competencies is desirable. Individual will be involved in the
design, installation, configuration, management, maintenance and
administration of all enterprise data center servers. Support of ongoing
server consolidation effort to migrate physical servers to virtual
environment. Provide technical solutions for complex problem resolution.

Lead and participate on special projects. Participate in on-call rotation

* Anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-malware, etc tools and virus spyware
remediation

* Understanding of DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP

* Network connectivity and troubleshooting

* Microsoft Office Applications

* Remote Control Management

* Firewalls

* Patch Management

* an understanding of Software License Management

* Handling Desktop Service Requests through tickets and escalations  *
Project Management - at some general level - ability to within a project
guidelines and report to Project Manager

* Assist in creating Project plans - at least the work break down structure

* Work with IT Management with goals for both global requirements and
individual sites

* Scripting - Batchfile, VBS, Powershell, etc.

* Excellent ability at Problem Solving and proper communcation with Global
Teams
