| Duties & Responsibilites : | Under direction of the Project Manager or designee in the Office of Information Technology (OIT), the Business Intellegence Developer will assist the Project Manager and Project Technical Architect constructing the solution to meet the objective of the project. The Business Intelligence Developer will be responsible for the construction, testing and deployments of operational and analytical Extraction, Transformation and Load development and operational and analytical reporting, including:
-Developing the solution consistent with the New Jersey Enterprise Information management Framework and the New Jersey Shared IT Architecture
-Assisting the Project Manager Business Analyst and Data Architect with requirements gathering and analysis
-Assisting the Business Analyst with the Creating of detailed data flow analysis
-Assisting the Data Architect with creation of mapping documents
-Construction of the solution and resolution of technical problems
-Assisting the Quality Assurance Specialist with development and execution of test plans
Required Skills:
-Software Development Development Lifecycle Required 7 Years
-Enterprise Data Warehouse/Data Mart enviroment utilizing Data Modeling, DataStage 8.x and Business Object XI Required 7 Years
-Experience with Business Intellegence development in an enterprise data warehouse environment, including identifying user requirements Required 7 Years
-Experience using Ascential DataStage Server and Enterprise Edition in an Oracle-hosted Data Warehouse Required 7 Years
-Experience in developing and maintaining Dependent/Independent data marts Required 7 Years
-Experienced in using DataStage Basic (DSBASIC) Language and Extensible Markup Language (XML), use of TOAD, SQL and PL/SQL Required 7 Years
-Experienced in Source to Target mapping between Data Warehouse and target data mart universe databases Required 7 Years
-Experience using BusinessObjects Designer and WebIntelligence including universe and report design, construction and documentation Required 7 Years
-Previous experience with Business Objects environment for warehouse projects Required 7 Years
Years of Relevant Experience:
-7 plus years
Preferred Education:
-4 year college degree
-All roles specified in BID2 plus the following:
-Expeirence in all area of the software decelopment lifecycle.
-Experience configuring and supporting large volumes of data for business intellligence applications
-Extensive enterprisewide implementation of complex ETL tools and BI tools
-May have worked on Parallel processing implementations.
-May have worked on toolset upgrading implementations.
