*Position: SOA Developer*

*Location: Cleveland, OH*

*Duration : Long term*



*POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:*

The SOA Developer is responsible for the design, development, testing, and
implementation of enterprise shared services in support of various
integration projects. In-depth, hands-on knowledge of Oracle SOA Suite,
J2EE, and integration standards and best practices at the enterprise level.
Capable of leading the development of comprehensive integration solutions
using Oracle Middleware 11g as the core. Provides technical consulting to
management, business analysts, and technical associates, while working in
coordination with the architecture team. Expected to be a reliable
technical professional that can handle job responsibilities autonomously.

Essential Functions
Strategy & Planning
• Must be able to acquire and interpret business requirements, create
technical artifacts, and determine the most efficient/appropriate solution
design.
• Work with the Enterprise Architecture team to interpret, modify and/or
produce documented integration application frameworks or architectures for
global deployments.
• Submit and review technical and process improvement recommendations.

Acquisition & Deployment
• Deliver integration solutions leveraging the capability of SOA expertise
for clients across application processes while adhering to the enterprise
architecture, data security and data management standards.
• Demonstrate proficiency in implementing integration solutions leveraging
tools within the Oracle Middleware suite: SOA 11g (BPM, BAM, BPEL Process
Manager, Web Services Manager, ESB, OSB, ODI, OSR, and various adapters),
as well as J2EE.
• Help business users develop functional requirements for integration.
• Write integration test scripts and provide support during user acceptance
testing.
• Prepare documentation for code changes..
• Mitigate significant risks associated with projects, which have a high
technical complexity and/or involve significant challenges to the business.

Operational Management
• Support ongoing daily use of Oracle SOA Suite environment.

Incidental Functions
• Research into new technologies, including tools, components, and
frameworks.
• Mentoring and coaching Professional Apprentices.
• Project and task management and reporting as necessary.
• Presentations to management, clients, and peer groups as requested.
• Participate in project and communication meetings with clients.
• Provides tier 2, on-call support for critical web application problems
and issues.
• Contribute in the discovery and investigation of critical production
problems as required.
• Analyze performance of programs and takes action to correct deficiencies
based on consultation with clients and approval of supervisor.
• Assist with projects as may be required to contribute to efficiency and
effectiveness of the work.
• Up to 10% travel as required.
• Work outside the standard office 7.5 hour workday as required.

*EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:*

Knowledge & Experience
• 2+ years IT experience.
• 2+ years’ experience with the entire software development lifecycle i.e.
requirements, design, implementation, integration testing, deployment and
post production support.
• 2+ years J2EE enterprise application experience, including Enterprise
Java Beans (EJBs).
• Strong understanding XML, XSD, XSLT, WSDL, and WSDL versioning best
practices.
• Strong understanding of Enterprise RDBMS, ER Diagrams, and developing SQL
programs.
• Strong ability in designing reusable and highly performant solutions.

Preferred Qualifications
• Understanding of Service Oriented Architecture concepts preferred.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware, including Oracle Service Bus
and Oracle SOA Suite, to integrate with other systems preferred.
• Experience in creating Proxy and Business Services on an Enterprise
Service Bus to handle Virtualization, Throttling and Protocol Translations
preferred.
• Understanding of REST, ATOM and WADL a plus.
• Experience in creating/maintaining deployments using ANT or MAVEN scripts
a plus.
• Experience in working in an Agile development environment a plus.

Formal Education & Certification
• Bachelor Degree or foreign equivalent in related field or equivalent
experience.
