-The IT quality assurance (QA) analyst is primarily responsible for testing all software products that are either built in-house or configured externally. -The analyst partners with internal stakeholders to plan, test, and implement all software changes to ensure that products conform to the desired quality standard.
-The analyst is accountable for defects and ensures that systems are operational and client ready.
- Develops testing strategy and user acceptance testing plan
- Prioritizes test scenarios and executes according to plan
- Develops and documents step-by-step test cases based on the software requirements elicited by business analysts and software developers
- Plans, tests, and implements all software changes from projects and change requests
- Develops test scripts to automate manual repeatable time intensive tasks
- Identifies, logs, and tracks defects
- Provides reporting on defect tracking and escalates technical issues as needed
- Develops and maintains testing standards, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistent testing procedures
- Partners with distributed teams and/or outside vendors
- Follows standards in accordance with company policy and regulation (HIPAA, PCI, Validation - 21 CFR Part 11 etc.)
- Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical requirements.

Qualifications & Education:
-Associate degree in IT administration, preferred
-Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required:

-Strong verbal and written communication skills
-Ability to anticipate user behavior or risks to systems
-In-depth understanding of the various testing concepts (e.g. functional, usability, performance)
-Understanding of basic waterfall and iterative (agile/scrum) project management concepts
-Ability to work independently
-Ability to conduct manual and automated testing
-Possess comprehensive business knowledge and skills
-High commitment to excellence and high quality standards
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
-Required or Preferred Certifications:
-Use of enterprise-wide requirements definition and management systems and methodologies
-Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook; Access, preferred
