| Duties & Responsibilites : | -Executes and leads the new development, enhancement and maintenance of enterprise-class transactional systems and Web applications
-Participates in all phases of full life-cycle development of the system, including requirements analysis, software design, software implementation, testing, deployment and documentation
-Analyze functional requirements and troubleshoot application code issues utilizing proprietary software and technologies
-Evaluates product change requests and takes appropriate action to make required changes
-Provides guidance to entry level engineering staff
-Conducts system analysis and development, with limited support
-Performs functional analysis and design for small to moderate projects
-Coordinates with other technical specialists, project managers, engineers and contractors to ensure timely and effective management of resources
-Develops code for modules of small to large scope
-May oversee user acceptance testing and unit testing
-Leads group discussions with peers or external groups
-Works with external vendors, when necessary
-Performs data modeling / database design work
-Writes concise and clear technical documents
-Performs other duties as may be assigned by management
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent
-Masters Degree preferred
-Seven or more years of application development experience on high volume, performance centric web applications
Technical Skills / Knowledge Required:
-7+ years of experience building J2EE compliant applications using JSP, Servlets, Hibernate, and Spring framework.
-Good UI Skills with experience in jQuery, _javascript_ and HTML.
-Strong Java language fundamental knowledge and experience in Services Oriented Architecture (SOA) based application development.
-Experience with relational databases including Oracle database.
-Experience in writing reports with Jasper/iReports
-Proficient in all phases of System Development Life Cycle and methodologies, especially of modern iterative methods.
-Prior experience with workflow solutions preferred.

-Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight timelines
-Passion for design and eagerness to collaborate with other creative people
-Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively with a across-departmental team
